Psinergy Goes Greener: 100% Electric Usage to come from Renewable

We’ve been very busy here at Psinergy lately. Setting up the new mobile friendly website (isn’t it pretty) as well as looking into renewable energy options, and we are happy to announce that as of today, Psinergy enrolled to have 100% of its energy usage offset from Xcel’s Windsource® program! This is just part of our commitment in being a greener company and honoring the Earth around us.

Psinergy (Psinergy Tech & Psinergy Natural Health) has been, and will continue to be, environmentally conscious, and while we would like to go for LEED certification, that’s just too costly for us at this point. Windsource® is available for both residential and business customers, and below you will find some of the benefits for your business and/or home.

Benefits of Xcel’s Windsource® program:

Businesses

Being an environmental leader.
Sustainability is an increasingly practical goal – and point of pride – for many companies, but the cost and complexity of installing renewable technologies can be overwhelming. For a reasonable cost, your business can purchase renewable energy through Windsource®. It’s an easy, inexpensive way to make a difference.

Put wind to work for your business.
Choose how much you want- Get started with 10 blocks (1,000 kilowatt-hours of renewable energy). Already a Windsource customer? Consider increasing your subscription level- up to 100% of your electricity from renewable energy.

A Windsource subscription helps your business:

  • Meet environmental goals
  • Earn LEED certification points
  • Generate goodwill among customers and your community
  • Support rural economies through tax revenue and jobs
  • Create a positive environmental impact

Residential

Put wind to work in your home.
Windsource® is a program that allows customers like you to pay a little extra each month to get some or all of their energy from renewable resources. And it costs less than the price of a latte. As one of the nation’s largest voluntary renewable energy programs, Windsource is an easy, inexpensive way to make a difference.

Subscribe to a cleaner, healthier environment.
Choose how much you want- Get started with one, 100 kilowatt-hour block of renewable energy- enough to power all the lights in a typical home per month.* Already a Windsource customer? Consider adding more wind to your life. You can get up to 100% of your electricity from renewable energy (about 7-10 blocks per month for the average home).

Windsource subscribers support:

  • Energy sources that take advantage of abundant natural resources like the wind and sun
  • Affordable and domestic energy production that provides electricity price stability
  • Economic development for rural communities including jobs, tax revenue and income for landowners

*Lighting calculation based on home with 42 light sockets, using a mix of CFLs, LEDs and incandescent bulbs

Want to get Windsource®? You can do so right from your “My Account” page on Xcel. It’s seriously THAT easy!
