Dealing with a Virus in Spring 2020, on a computer and in-real-life.

(PS — the good news… we are technically in Spring!)

Things are definitely interesting right now! With coronavirus, COVID-19, sweeping the news right now with recommendations to stay home in certain areas, recommending social distancing, as always, washing your hands, and self quarantining if sick… What do you do if your computer ends up getting infected with a virus or has other issues?

With having the holistic health side of our company, we have been in the practice for years of disinfecting and cleaning practices in our office multiple times a day, using naturally derived products that have been shown to destroy viruses and bacteria on surfaces (uses Thymol, a derivative of Thyme – and while this specific disinfectant is not listed on the EPA’s Recommended List, it has been submitted by the manufacturer to be included, and has in the past been authorized to market that it kills 99.99% of Bacteria and Viruses, specifically Influenza A, H1N1, Rhinovirus type 37, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella enterica, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli on hard nonporous surfaces), as well as utilizing an air purifier that is rated to be used up to 3,500 square feet that uses High-Intensity Broad Spectrum UV-C as just one layer of its cleaning process and runs all the time and is also switched to a deeper cleaning mode when the office is closed and unoccupied. Now, while the verdict is still out about how effective UV-C, O3, and the like are against this new coronavirus, it is just one of the layers that we use to keep our space clean.
