This hoax isn’t as bad as many that we have seen in the past as it only has you copy and paste a specific status message. More potentially scary ones have you click on something, then give an app or website permission to your personal information (often including your email address, phones numbers, etc), and the information of your friends.
As always, remember to look into things that seems to be to good to be true, or highly unrealistic BEFORE sharing, or following the instructions. Sometimes blindly following some of these instructions can lead to more harmful things like #viruses, #ransomware (aka “The FBI Virus”), and other harmful or bothersome malware.
