Hard Restart? Remember to Restart again…

Issue:

Sometimes computers act up, and as a last resort you have to “hard power off” your computer by pressing and holding the power button until it turns off, then waiting a few seconds, then turn it back on again. You login, but things seem to not be running as smoothly as normal – programs seem to run slowly, everything seems to take 2 or 3 times longer, web pages take forever to load.

Resolution:

To resolve this, just restart again, and normally the issues will resolve itself. Normally if you had to do a “hard restart” it’s good practice to just login, and then do the normal restart process allowing for your system shut-down and boot up correctly.
