VLC Media Player Security Flaw!

As more computers are being built without DVD drives and the associated DVD Player software, consumers are frequently downloading third-party programs to be able to play these and other higher quality video file types.

One of the biggest and most trusted names is VLC Media Player. Last week (June 21st), a couple of major security vulnerabilities were published. The danger lies in out-of-date versions of the software (prior to 3.0.7), and when exploited can lead to an attacker having full control of your system.

If you use VLC Media Player or even have it installed, make sure to update the program before you use it next.
